This weekend, January 24 – 26 at the Maple Leaf Gardens the Ontario Liberal Party will elect their leader who will become provincial premier.
Two ladies lead the pack, Sandra Pupatello with 27% and Kathleen Wynne with 25%. Pupatello is also the only candidate from outside the GTA. Others however have an ability to become king (or queen) maker which will make the contest exiting.
The member to select, it seems, will be Wynne, who has been a member of Don Valley East, a riding not given to socialism where as Pupatello comes from Windsor, a Chrysler auto district where she was effective in lobbying for auto workers.
Wynne has also been active lobbying for above surface transit (cheaper than subways). Enjoy the sport this weekend.
