Estonia's long-term overdue loans ease in December

TALLINN, Jan 25 (Reuters) - The number of loans and leasing
contracts overdue more than 60 days in Estonia's banking system
fell by 0.5 of a percentage point in December, to 6.3 percent of
the total loan portfolio, the Estonian central bank said on
Tuesday.

Estonia's banking system is 95 percent controlled by four
Nordic financial groups, and concerns over the scale of bad debt
in an economy that was badly hit by the financial crisis have
weighed on shares in Swedbank and SEB among others.
