The Chinese are celebrating the year of the pig this coming year, and the celebration is held by Falun Gong as a fund raiser by their television network New Tang Dynasty TV. For the third year in a row they present three performances of a spectacular of dancers, musicians and singers in Chinese folk tradition.

The event takes place on Friday, January 19 at 7:30pm and Saturday, January 20 at 2:00pm and 7:30pm. The location is the Toronto Centre for the Arts at 5040 Yonge St., North York, Ontario. Tickets are available from Ticketmaster for $150, $120, $80, $50 and $30.

The event is being sponsored by the Toronto Star, and radio station CFRB.

The Falun Gong are a non-violent group who have been banned and persecuted by the communist Chinese government because in a few years they became too popular. Since then they have been imprisoned, murdered, their body parts have been harvested and they have been generally harassed both in China and outside.

Even though NTDTV has been approved by CRTC, Rogers has not placed them on cable. Instead Rogers has taken on 7 or 8 stations from communist China that pump communist propaganda into the Chinese community.

This is why the station needs our support.
