Friday March 25 6:00 pm at Victims of Communism Memorial in DC

On Friday, March 25 from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. we will be lighting candles to honor and remember the innocent citizens of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, who were arrested and deported to the Soviet Union in March, 1949. Bring a candle or light one of ours. Let's show solidarity with students in Estonia who are doing the same thing in Tallinn and Tartu on the same day. We should never forget and we should never let the world forget.

The Victims of Communism Memorial is located at the intersection of Massachusetts and New Jersey Avenues NW in Washington, DC (two blocks from Union Station).

Where did the Communist idea originate and how was it developed? Why did powerful international financial circles finance the "Russian revolutionaries" in March and November 1917?
What was the purpose of the social destruction that followed and in which way did this serve the forces behind the Communists?
