Next door at the Estonian-owned Alexela gas station (Neste Oil is a Finnish company), a similar banner had been hung above the snowbanks. Instead of a
põhja/põder(reindeer), its product promoter is a jää/karu(polar bear).

Glad to hear the writing is appreciated. Most people here would surely think the things I highlight are bizarre (and some do), but it all depends on where you're coming from.

Riina, enjoy the musings from Eesti. I was thinking that in thic case "soodne" would translate to "economic" so "soodsalt" would be "economically", so let's drive economically.
You do have a great eyefor what eestlased would consider mundane, but interesting to outsiders.
