Buy a brick and help us reach the Monument to Liberty…

A donation of $100 buys a virtual brick for the path that leads to the Memorial to Victims of Totalitarian Communism in Ottawa, Canada.

The Story of the Pathway
It is the policy of the National Capital Commission not to include donor recognition as part of the commemorative site. However, Tribute to Liberty wants to recognize its donors. That is why we’ve created a virtual Pathway to Liberty. Each 'brick' is the story of a victim of communism, or a message or dedication, contributed in the name of the donor or someone the donor wishes to honour. The donated bricks help build the pathway to liberty—and it is liberty that the Memorial to Victims of Totalitarian Communism represents.

Tribute to Liberty needs your donation in order to help us reach our goal of raising $1.5 million - that requires 15,000 $100 bricks to be donated! Help us build a monument to the over 100 million victims of communism.

The Global Museum on Communism site is a great site, however, contributions to Tribute to Liberty will go to building the actual memorial in Ottawa. It is a Canadian project and symbolic of the millions of Canadians whose families have suffered under communism. The buy a brick campaign allows for personal stories to be dedicated and recorded - a step towards erasing the "collective amnesia" that currently exists in Canada and worldwide about these heinous crimes.

The Global Museum on Communism has a wonderful feature that allows the victims of communism and their families to upload their stories including a photo:
