This fundraising campaign is sadly turning into a bunch of elitist claptrap!
So! If you're willing to make a large charitable donation to the community, you're an elitist.
What should we call someone who donates nothing and only questions the motives and integrity of those that do?
Allan Meiusi, is good for a start!

It is up to each of us to donate an amount which is within our means. Undeniably, some can afford more than others. It is unfortunate that our community has some very jaded individuals in it, who refer to philanthropy as "elitist claptrap". Giving should be celebrated rather than denigrated.
Well said
It would be great if the EM shareholders could be given the right to vote to name the new centre, since by far the EM is the main donor to this project.
EM has naming-rights!
It seems to me that Sad's point is being missed. It's not the philanthropy or the amount that is being criticized, but the methods that have been used thus far in attracting them.
As far as I have seen, only the high end donors have been approached or addressed in the Fundraising Campaign. Nothing has been said to attract the modest donor. Only the 3 high end donors have been announced in the press. Are no others or are they not worthy of mention? I think it would benefit the Campaign to be more inclusive in its messaging and address the whole community, no matter what their financial standing may be.
