0I'd add that the strident and hyperbolic language undermines credibility.
Are "external" countries really "saturated" with secret agents? "Herewith in this," are whole "shadow bureaus" (sic.) "placed under the microscope"? and etc.
All of this sounds like something that Maxim de la Trine would concoct and, therefore, it should be dismissed as BS.
