Please get your facts straight (at least TRY to get both sides of the story), as well as your history. The president of Slovenia apologised for these killings in 1990... Of course they should be condemned, but their context ahould also be understood. Should we call Churchill a mass murderer and rename all streets, etc., because his orders killed over 100,000 civilians in Dresden?

On see tõesti ainult eestikeelne internet? Miks te lugesite siis seda artikklit ja pidasite vajalikuks kommenteerida? EE lugejate hulgas on piisavalt umbkeelseid, kelledele on vist see ingliskeelne ajaleht ja võrguleht mõeldud...

This article is written by a right-wing, emotionally attached individual who obviously has no understanding of the time era this article refers to.

The truth is, if it were not for Tito, Slovenia would either be part of Italy, or Austria. Tito cemented the borders of Slovenia and for people to try to put World War 2 into todays time is totally irrational and shows that they are not historically educated.

World War 2 was not won by silk gloves nor was it ended by discussions around a table. The war was cruel. The U.S. dropped two atomic bombs on civilian cities... Dresden air massacre was carried out... and for someone to write about these pitty pits that were part of the war as "war crimes" shows that the writer is not aware of how bloody and serious the second World War was.

Let me put this to all the people living today, spoiled by TV, political correctness, and a lack of understanding a different time frame: Every nation during the second World War had to fight for its survival, and people were lost. Tito, whether you like him or not, is a legendary and heroic figure that did more good than bad. And chances that many of you would have participated in killing the occupiers and traitors working with them is high, or else you'd find yourself in the pit with high justification for the situation of the time.
