I've written about this subject in much the same way as beholds the current article. Glad to see others taking on the same opionions and sharing them without fear or favour.
Anonymous22 Nov 2008 07:03
It's a relief to see that there's another person in this world as smart as Maximahv.
to - Maxim de la Trine22 Nov 2008 11:21
What a load of Bull! Hinting that you have something to teach Paul Goble, or, that he wants to learn something from you.
I guess that you forgot about the day, a month ago, when you forgot to take your pills and told us that the communists have no crimes to account for. Goble doesn't think so.
Maxim has written....22 Nov 2008 16:22
...stupid and offensive comments calculated to upset Estonians in Canada.

Where has he written? In the readers' commentary section where there is no editor to screen out offensive stupidity. In his mind, that qualifies him as a thinker and a writer. Sorry Maximahv. To call yourself a writer, you have to get something past an editor. In your case, that would never happen, even if you worked on it for a decade.

You are a freak of nature, Maxim.
Maxim22 Nov 2008 17:06
The jealousy that is aroused among my self-appointed critics is beyond words! They care not one iota to do their homework and discover that indeed I did write about this subject before Goble did. Needless to say, I welcome his opinions as a man deserving of all our respect, though I see no signs of that kind of respect from my critics. Instead, all they are interested in is criticizing me for no reason at all. And still people think I am EK. Fortunately I know nothing about this person, except that he must be a very disliked human being, since you have absolutely nothing nice to say about him. Better luck next time.
to - Maximahv22 Nov 2008 20:36
You get exactly the amount of respect that you deserve.
"for no reason at all"22 Nov 2008 21:03
Maxim de la Trine tells us that the Soviets didn't occupy Estonia and that the mass-deportation of Estonians to Siberia was perfectly legal.
For this, he wants our respect. "Instead, all they are interested in is criticizing me for no reason at all".
Can't you get it through your thick head, Maxim, son of Koidula, that you are insane?
Maxim23 Nov 2008 04:41
I think people who have read your dribble dressed up as comments can see that there is absolutely no value in what you say or represent. The fact that the editors have had to block my opponents comments is sufficient enough for them to see that constant character assassination of me is not the primary object of commenting here. However, I do believe we can all come to a satisfactory resolution and not criticize me in spite of the desire to do so at any moment of the day. I wish my critics all the best and hope that I can soon begin to see a more positive attitude from them.
to - Maxim de la Trine23 Nov 2008 07:12
"I do believe we can all come to a satisfactory resolution and not criticize me in spite of the desire to do so..."

What are you suggesting here, Maxim? That we silently watch you carry on with your maniacal rampage? Or, that we respond with praise and adulation? I wish that you could be a bit more specific.
Maxim23 Nov 2008 07:52
Your ability to impose reasonable restraints on your comments has proven to be your major failure here. If you can't see the wood from the trees and accept that there are other people with valuable opinions besides yourself, then nothing much is likely to change for the better. The ball is well and truly in your court! I have a clean record of respect for others and their opinions! So far all you've managed to do is set up a straw man with all your false accusations and implications which have only caused your comments to be dismissed outright by all civic-minded readers. To all my ongoing supporters I wish to thank you and express my sincerest thanks for all the support you have shown over the past two years. I am pleased to say that I will continue to stay here for as long as it takes to change the attitude of my critics to a more accepting nature of sharing opinions. Look forward to much more quality exchange with all of you in the future.

If you are as smart as you think you are, and if you are the great writer that you think you are, with the huge following of (silent) fans that you think you have, then how come you can't write a sentence without a grammatical error? Are you dyslexic?

"I've written about this subject in much the same way as beholds the current article. Glad to see others taking on the same opionions and sharing them without fear or favour"

hint: trying to take credit for an article someone else wrote, is not really something to boast about....
Maxim24 Nov 2008 07:58
Sofia, if you'd care to backtrack a little on past issues of EE online you will find my comments available on the net. I admit a few people here wouldn't give me the time of day, but it astounds me no end that the tone of their comments are laced with intellectual cyanide-whereas my own comments never approach the ugliness that bears the hallmark of my critics. It's often a disappointment to me, but in lieu of the fact that anything I write gets up their ire, then I'm just happy to go on writing for all the other people here who seem much more enlightened than the few who do everything to drag me down to their street level intellectual violence. Besides this, you will no doubt have noticed that they are never able to criticize the content of my postings, because facts are always beyond the reach of petty stupidity!
to - Maxim de la Trine24 Nov 2008 09:29
What, in your own opinion, have you done to be singled out for unjust treatment?
Anonymous23 Nov 2008 15:04
I first met the boy who calls himself Maxim when he was 11 years old and played sports with my son of the same age. It was already obvious then that the boy had some problems. He made inappropriate remarks constantly. I often wondered if he would grow out of it and what might become of him. Now we know, and it is a painful thing to witness. He didn't deserve his affliction. We should pray for him, although that is hard to do when he is on the attack. Most people ignore him. A handful fight back. I can't imagine that he has a fan or supporter out there. Now he is saying that he is going to continue his campaign for as long as it takes for us to recognize his genius and show him the respect that he believes that he deserves. Looks like were in for a lot of unpleasantness. But can anybody tell me what is in it for him?
Anonymous23 Nov 2008 16:17
What's in it for him? you ask.
I think it's called payback.
Maxim had a pretty tough time at the ole Esto fraternity just like a lot of us did. Most of us just quit and forgot about it. Maybe Maxim got more than his fair share and is still working it out of his system. I can understand that. I like my Esto community but there is two places that I never want to go to again. Thats a frat meeting and a Vabariigi Aastapaeva Aktus. Thats as much as I can say in defense of ole Maximahv. And I agree with pretty much everybody else that he might be unbalanced because he sure has said some crazy and ugly things here.
Maxim24 Nov 2008 11:27
A case of mistaken identity..I am not EK for the thousandth time. However, the readers know this only too well, and take umbridge at your persistence to maintain a lie when all is clearly the opposite. If your persistence to go blindly babbling bulls#%t is so transparent on this level, it's obvious nothing is different even if you expected us to take you seriously. You are a bore and a loser.
to - Maxim de la Trine24 Nov 2008 12:42
But you are the Maxim who has consistently and tenaciously made outrageously provocative remarks, calculated to wound and enrage.

Then, you act surprised at the reaction. That's enough to make us think that you are insane. Can you give us a reason to think otherwise?
Cardinal25 Nov 2008 12:55
Yes, I to am a grate suporter of Maxim and fele he yust doesn’t write enuff. Why does EE let righters like Goble expres there views so often when the reel truth comes from shining lites like Maxim de la Trine!
Anonymous23 Nov 2008 18:38
Off-shore Estonians have given the homeland much that we can be proud of - a President Ilves, a diplomat Schaer, academics like Kirss, specialists like Einseln and (the late) Niitenberg. The list goes on and on. At the end of it all, we gave them the showboat freak, Maxim de la Trine. Will we ever live it down?
Alex25 Nov 2008 21:10
As far as I remember the crude Russia sells is called Urals and its value is traditionally below traditional crude. Does anybody know what the price of Urals is when we speak about $100 per barrel of crude oil?
Alex26 Nov 2008 16:28
For those who are interested in the matter, I think this link could be interesting.

http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/...

It basically says Urals crude, Russia’s main export oil blend is at $46.77 a barrel now, and may drop to $43 a barrel in the first-half of 2009, which is much below the $70 average needed to balance Russia’s budget.

$180 billion left Russia since August, according to BNP Paribas SA data.
