Tammemagi is a scientist by training and, like some of his peers, he is also a religious man.
He has adopted the fairly new religion of "environmentalism". With that, he can describe the "peaceful eagle" as if it was a vegetarian and rank it above mere man because it doesn't use a cell-phone.
