It would be foolish to dismiss outright some of the high quality art that was produced during the last 50 years of Soviet Occupation. Kristjan and Paul Raud's extremely interesting exhibition at KUMU clearly attests to this fact, as do many other artistic forms including theatre (Vaino Vahing, Jan Krusvall and Mati Unt), Literature (Jaan Kross and Mats Traat) and music (Eugen Kapp and Lepo Sumera.) These are examples of the highest artistic achievements, and it would be a complete idiot to argue to the contrary.
