Ladyfest, a popular, international festival celebrating the creative achievements of women, will be held in Tallinn from March 8 to 12, marking the event's Estonian debut.

Because the festival opens on International Women’s Day, organizers want to emphasize that the commemorative day is not just about giving flowers, but also about acknowledging the creations of women.

The festival aims to bring together Estonian female artists, musicians, writers and speakers who may be familiar with the works of their collegues, but don't know as much about the creations of women in other fields, one of the organizers, Anna-Stina Treumund, told ERR News.
