On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Toronto Estonian Scouting Sponsors Association ("TESS") -- a not-for-profit "public benefit" corporation that has been serving the Estonian-Canadian community since 1954, we wish to make it clear that the open letter to National Estonian Foundation of Canada ("ESK") and chat room commentaries thereunder, published by Mr. Tonu Naelapea, who is an executive member of our board, are his own personal opinions only.

Those commentaries and opinions in no way represent or reflect the corporate views of TESS, its board of directors, its members or those of any of the organizations or activities that we sponsor.

TESS also acknowledges that the funding application submitted to ESK did not include the requested budget details and recognizes that this limited their ability to deal with the application.

From its inception in 1974 onwards, ESK and TESS enjoyed close co-operation and collaboration on a number of projects beneficial to our community and ESK has been a strong supporter of the scouting and guiding programs that TESS also supports. We have nothing but the highest respect for ESK, its directors, members and employees and their standards of governance and administration. We regret any impacts that recently expressed personal opinions may have had on this relationship and sincerely hope that our Boards can continue to work together to support the future of the Estonian community.

TESS
per Mart Pikkov, President and Robert Kivi, Vice-President

KP,

What are you ever trying to say?

Who needs the KGB/FSB when people within the Canadian Estonian community are doing such an effective job on their own. Shame on you -- you know who you are.

I hinted at someone who is on one board of executives and "connected" to the other. This comment was deleted because the physical description of this guy was too accurate and everyone would have know who he is.

All these organizers of the groups are of the help or do as I say mentality otherwise you are a distraction and go away. Unfortunately there are more and more of those who want to help and be listened to ..... like in a democracy but because we aren't listened to or are thought of as interlopers or "carpet baggers" we are basically outcast and ignored. So why would we want to associate with these people let alone donate money to "the cause"?

The people running these organizations are following their fathers footsteps (because women were RARELY allowed) and the group that is castoff grows and grows in size.

As a poster for a Kungla event posted, the faces may change but the names remain the same.....

Too bad many of those "same names" are holding on to their father's mentalities.
