The Arizona Cardinals have signed a veteran defensive lineman Margus Hunt. The Estonian will now join a defensive line that should provide the former track and field athlete with plenty of opportunities for playing time. Hunt is a versatile defensive lineman that should see the field in multiple packages and defensive fronts, both rushing from the edge and holding up the run in the middle.

Hunt (6'8", 295 lbs) is an eight-year NFL veteran who has played with Cincinnati (2013-16; 2020), New Orleans (2020) and Indianapolis (2017-19) in his career and has appeared in 104 games (26 starts) with 114 tackles, 8.5 sacks, 26 tackles for loss, 11 passes defensed, two fumble recoveries, and one forced fumble returns. He played in 13 games last season after appearing in 47 games (25 starts) with the Colts the previous three years. The 34-year old Hunt entered the league with Cincinnati as a second-round selection (53rd overall) in the 2013 NFL Draft.

Since 2018, his second year with the Colts, he has been on the 10th best scoring defense, 18th best (the year Andrew Luck retired), then in 2020 was part of the number five scoring defense with the New Orleans Saints.
