Ice Pilots NWT documents flying in the North West Territories in the winter (-40 below zero) with aircraft built before the Second World War on shuttle (cargo) runs from Whitehorse. The stars of the series are the aircraft.

The aircraft are a Curtis - C-46 (built around 1933), several Douglas DC-3s (built around 1935), a Douglas DC-4 (built between 1944-56), 2 Electras (turboprops) and 2 Canadair CL-125 fire bombers.

The co-stars are the humans, the boss "Buffalo" Joe McByan, his sons and a rough crew who handle problem as they arise.

Segments of Ice Pilots NWT are aired on Wednesday in the Toronto area on 7pm and 10pm and on Saturday at 6pm. The show’s web site is www.icepilotsnwt.com if one wants more details.

The videotaping is very well executed, making for a very enjoyable viewing experience for the flying buff.

it's a good thing that so many of your friends don't know you have described them as being "lihne meelne" at least they are open minded....something you and yours have no clue about.
