THE ESTONIAN-AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF

THE CAROLINAS

Invites you to our Fall Get-Together

Sunday, October 26, 2008 at 1:00 p.m.

At the home of Toivo Sõmer

24 Francis St., Chapel Hill, NC

You are invited to enjoy our fall gathering with a special treat this year! Did you know that Estonian style knitting is very popular with knitters the world over? Well, come and see and hear all about it from Merike Saarniit. She will discuss what makes the Estonian approach to knitting, designs, and patterns so unique and so popular. Some of the patterns from ancient Estonian cultures have lasted through the years and are being used today. Merike teaches workshops across the country in knitting, weaving, spinning, and dyeing. She has a website at www.Liisu.com

We still also have a short business meeting and of course a delicious lunch enjoying the foods and beverage that each of us brings and time to socialize

Please RSVP to Toivo Sõmer at (919) 932-1742 or to Kadi Kool atkkool@nc.rr.com
