Senior cyber officials at the Estonian Information System’s Authority (“RIA,”) are traveling this week to meet with their counterparts in the U.S. They will also be on hand when Estonian President Ilves speaks this week at a roundtable at the U.S. Department of State on cyber security issues.

RIA coordinates the development and administration of the state’s information system, organizes activities related to information security, and handles security incidents that occur on Estonian computer networks. The organization also advises providers of public services on how to manage their information systems and assists in monitoring them—all with the goal of assuring the continuity of the provision of vital services.

Estonia continues to share best practices in e-technology with the United States and our mutual friends and allies around the world. Security, innovative infrastructure, and professionalism are cornerstones of that know-how.
