Canadian study: Finns want more Arctic cooperation

Finns want close cooperation in the Arctic regions. According to a fresh study, people in Finland are concerned about climate change, and hope for cooperation especially with other Nordic Countries. The least-desired partner in Arctic cooperation would be China.

The Canadian report, which is being published on Tuesday, examines opinions on the development of the Arctic regions for the first time in Finland and in seven other northern countries.

The survey was conducted in all seven member states of the council – Iceland, Canada, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Russia and the United States.
