A new fund to support Estonian culture in the US

The Estonian Cultural Heritage Fund, Inc., established to support the preservation of Estonian culture in the US, is being activated. The Fund will award scholarships to qualified US citizens who want to pursue a higher education in subjects related to Estonian culture, wherever such courses are being offered. Attending an institution of higher learning in Estonia in any field shall satisfy this requirement. The Fund will also award grants to qualified individuals who wish to research or document Estonian culture as it exists in the US.

Application forms for the 2009/2010 academic year and other information pertaining to the Fund are available at http://www.estonianchf.org. To be considered, applications must be submitted by March 31, 2009. Further information can be obtained by e-mail atinfo@estonianchf.org.

The Fund, which is tax exempt under the Internal Revenue Code, section 501 (c)(3), gratefully accepts donations from anyone who wishes to support its objective.
