Do you actually have a counterargument to what I wrote, Mr. Anonymous?

Markus, she's actually on your side, just not very articulate

evoking my inner Greta Thunberg . . . BlahBlahBlah eh? If they say that Chimpanzees are 98.6 close to OUR DNA, well Mister, YOU fall short of the mark (as my Puppi used to say) the machinations of these so called "Parking Studies"- these fabricated falsehoods . . . smithed to twist/serve a certain rationale to promote YOUR agenda are an insult to Estonian Intelligence . . . after what? a THOUSAND years of slavery? Fairytales. YOU have NOT evolved. The REST of us have and we are onto you. By the way . . .how dare you!

Rita seems like a very happy young girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future. So nice to see!

Really? that's your best shot, you are going to evoke Trump? ewww. Your avatar. . . is . . . however, on the mark. The content of this article on Parking Studies seems to be beyond your scope. In the future, be more discerning with whom you choose to quote, so it doesn't "match" said nom de plume ;)

Interesting that the Revera city of Toronto application for 958 Broadview is requesting 18 stories, which is outside of the City of Toronto Plan for that area. If that, or any version in excess of 6 stories goes through, what will be the final sale price?

With people like Markus Alliksaar, Allan Meiusi and, perhaps, Maxim de la Trine, our problems can be solved,
if we trust them with the handling of our money.

If you are going to smear fellow Estonians, why don't you be fair about it an post using your real name.
If wished were horses...15 Sep 2019 11:17
...beggars would ride.
Many of us have a sentimental attachment to Eesti Maja which is distracting us from the real problem:
our community is shrinking and we don't have enough people willing to make the necessary financial commitment to refurbish the existing facility.
Instead, we have too many wizards on the sidelines, directing our attention to the parking issue which is a red herring

Blah, blah, blah & red herring?
A clear & concise presentation, which requires a clear & concise response from the Madison Project.
They have been avoiding addressing this subject from the beginning. Offering up (or hiding) studies that are clearly biased and flawed is no way to handle the situation. It's actions like this that erodes trust and drives questions to be asked.
No wonder there are so many suspicions raised about this development.

And in addition to that, haven't heard that the house has actually been sold.
stop Revera17 Sep 2019 09:19

What's to study?
We know the old Esto House has parking and the new Esto Centre does not.
That hasn't stopped Estos from attending events at the EH since the 1960's, or Tartu College since the 1970's.
People got there by foot, TTC, cars, taxis, maybe bikes.
If the EH had been charging for parking the whole time, maybe the old school house could have been revived now. However, we liked our "free parking".
If the "support the old" supporters had bothered to fund raise, the millions that now are apparently available for the asking, could have been yours.
Puzzled19 Sep 2019 03:21
Neglected to mention that the “free parking” lot required paving, cleaning, snow-plowing, security surveillance cameras, lighting with electricity, insurance and paying taxes.

On Tuesday night 200+ people found their way to Tartu College for a fabulous concert by Curly Strings. Did lack of parking deter them? Nah!
Other side of the coin...19 Sep 2019 21:24
200+ at Tartu College....you might have gotten 400+ at Eesti Maja, plus they have a stage.
Puzzled20 Sep 2019 06:13
To “other side”,
The bottom line for Tuesday’s show at Tartu would have been the same because at the EH they would have had to pay rent.
However, if the “Esto House renovation supporters” had organized a show for 400, charged for parking, set up a bar/coffee counter, and held a 50/50 lottery, they could be closer to their dream.

The ease with which the opponents of this article resort to ad hominem attacks combined with their inability to counter even a single substantive point I made says it all about the substance of their beliefs.
