Looking back, it was the whole community, at all levels, that contributed to the fund drives for the Estonian House.
It's truly unforunate that the Madison Project seems to have no interest in appealing,or showing recognition, to the modest donor.

Oh Sad indeed! No one quite knows how to articulate their disbelief of “Estonian Dispatch No. 43” Dear Urve, thank you for your service but I detect some branding by others. S-a-d. My Father said that a lot. I am feuled by Jane Philpott’s declaration, something about: “But I must abide by my core values, my ethical responsibilities and constitutional obligations. There can be a cost to acting on one’s principles, but there is a bigger cost to abandoning them." B-i-n-g-o!
One would think that after over a THOUSAND years of interference/persecution there would be some clarity and conviction in OUR tribe about a higher moral ground. Urve! Never mind how much you can rent that great room for, it is already too small = please pay attention to the construction model. The minute that hoe goes into the ground, that money meter will start whirring, "Financing on a knife's edge" as our brother Vaino declared. It's a preci$ion dig and preci$ion engineering. All those GIANT sheets of glass and the ground trembling from below- (Teflon foundations/baffles) those are going to be ultra expensive units for that “airport lounge”. The gasket detailing & tolernaces?!?! We are NOT a CORPORATION!!! or The Royal Bank etc.etc.
That roof top garden, so wishful in the renderings...Oh Yeah?
how about the decibels from the exhaust for the State-of-the-Art Kitchen?(de rigueur for sophisticated social gatherings in rentable space)
you can't have Tony's Catering van with the squeaky wheels of the food carts making it down the parking ramp to the underground freight elevator.
AND the HVAC units!?! . . . I have yet to hear a whisper-sound compressor.
25M will give them this project? I don't think so. Anecdotally . . a highschool I worked on in early 1990's had a friendly wager on the tender amount-
