Well good luck with all that Monday night.
If it doesn’t happen now, it will tomorrow, or ten years from now and is that what diaspora Estonians envision for their future? A little people hidden in the dank of Gotham City’s Hong Kong Tower$, tip toeing over railway tracks below, amidst a few sad dying trees. I am the kind of Estonian who is perched on the edge of a cliff, watching the sun blaze across the valley with room to breathe and think about the next project to get my hands on.

Rita... I believe that another high-rise has an application in for the other side of the street... so can you ask "where will the sun be?"

I looked at the multi-page document prepared by the city planners. I have to confess to being amused by the title of the article in EWR. The reference to shadows. There is a considerable setback. 9.5 metres in Toronto is substantial. I look forward to the new site. Yes, staying at Broadview had a certain appeal, but there is no money for this. Let's collectively move on ... we need to accept change.

I read the multi-page document from the city planner. I in fact was pleased to read about the 9.5 metre setback. That is considerable in the city of Toronto. While I would have liked to be on Broadview, had there been the funds to allow for this, I am accepting of the move to Madison. We have to be to forward looking. Let's embrace the move to the new location.

No matter how much I try to talk myself into supporting Madison, I have a bad feeling about it in the pit of my stomach. I honestly have tried, and I can't make the dread and doubt about a wrong decision go away.

My fear is that we will not have enough money for Madison either. Cost overruns will happen and building over the subway by well-meaning community members yet dilettante building project leads will very likely bankrupt this project. I am not being mean, I believe I'm being realistic.

Add to this, that half the community does not support building in congested down-town and we have ended up with our own Brexit... elites calling the shots to the exclusion of half the community -- working class and seniors feeling shut out and angry and vowing to rent more affordably elsewhere.

There must be a better and more inclusive way.

So no money to stay on Broadview but somehow there are millions to go to Madison. Doesn't compute. Why not use those millions on Broadview - their own report says that they only need $3m.
