Consultant costs are a concern. It appears that the board is too liberal with their use. For example, it was suggested by the Remmel to hire a parking consultant to look into the parking problem at the Madison area. Would this be a wise use of funds? It is pretty clear already that parking is bad and it will only get worse as the area gets filled in with condo towers. Do we really need a consultant for every little thing?
Parking is a major issue, so a parking consultant may be a smart move, provided that they come up with solutions for the needs of the various users, not a an expensive regurgitation of the situation on paper.
What is the use of a parking consultant if there is no space for parking??? How much do they pay to the consultant who will say that there is no space and no parking on the street?
