This film is about Georg Ots' second, of three, marriages. It was turbulent.
It's not about Georg Ots' career as an opera singer. There is virtually no music in the film.
Some of the dialogue is in Russian, without subtitles. Some of the Estonian dialogue has English subtitles which disappear before they can be completely read.
The principal roles, however, are played by very good actors.
Overall, the film is a disappointment, nonetheless.

The purpose of the film festival is not necessarily to promote European flms, but rather to make Torontonians more aware of Europe and its constituent countries. To increase contacts, arouse interest in things European. Comments shouldn't be censored and everyone has a chance to be as candid as they please. But why go out of your way to badmouth something that is harmless. The audience won't even have to pay admission. But I guess it's in some peoples' makeup to complain and bitch and show how much more in the know they are than the rest.

Is there anything in my previous comment that could possibly be construed as misleading?

I don't think there was anything insulting in your comment. I happen to disagree with some of what you say - and I think its a great film, probably the best Estonian film in a long time. It's kind of old to be presenting it at the festival though.
Unfortunately there are people here who take any criticism of anything posted on this site to be anti-Estonian or pro-Soviet. I'm surprised you weren't labeled as some KGB operative or zionist for your comments!
