Listen up, Buster, and listen up good! When you write here as an individual, you are entitled express yourself like Maxim.

When you write as a representative of Canada's Estonians, then you should use conventional English grammar. As it is, your comment is informative. Still, you cast shame upon us.

You are confusing your styles. Maxim writes like a confused, angry teenager. "Our spokesperson" mimics a tough guy from a 1950's gangster movie. The style does not match the role and, when he switches to Estonian, it gets even worse. There, he sounds like a Gomer Pyle type trying to play General Boom.
Why not use ordinary language? It communicates with simple dignity.

The NY Times quotes Martin Arpo , surperintendent of Estonian Police Board as stating that of the 251 deported, 13 were older than 75 and 61 were younger than 12.
Surely some of the deportees were under the age of 13!
Also, where is "Estoinia"?

It shouldn't be forgotten that before Lennart Meri passed away, he fielded a lot of judicial players to take care of "any outstanding business" to do with the "messup of '44". Fortunately Rein Lang has longstanding relations with colleagues throughout St.Petersburg and further afield, and working together with Moscow archives (where the majority of Estonian KGB archives now stand) it isn't very hard to find a satisfactory case with which to successfully acquit Arnold Meri of any accusations raised against him. Let's hope it all ends in a way that promotes new and deeper friendship between peoples of the former.....

The KGB archives that Maxim refers to would show that Meri was a communist who deported families from their farms to make space for collective farms.
It seems that Maxim can't see anything wrong with that. Too bad. It's been said before -- he's a freak.

It's a shame you cast judgement where no judgement has been made on my part. Yet to you there is no difference slurring and making character assassinations or not. It's all a level playing field to you, so long as you have the right to cast judgement on whoever you like. Most people call that kind of behaviour autocratic, but you'll never see it that way because your character assassination isn't even obvious to you anymore, having practiced the art for so long.

Maxim has something wrong with him. He just can't leave us alone. To get our goat, he'll say anything and when his idiotic or insane comments provoke well-deserved ridicule, he calls it "character assassination" even though it looks more like "character suicide".

Victimhood is an outdated mode to get attention for an unjust cause. To get rid on me, and to hang on to the last straw blowing in the wind-that Maxim is causing me to be the subject of victimhood-is simply not good enough. You need to be more intellectually vigorous in your approach to dealing with problems, and tackle the subject right on the head, instead of attacking the people who come forward with such opinions. I never cry wolf when you spit the dummy thousands of times a year, but your so soft a guey all over, that you don't have any intellectual punch left in your anymore. Get off with it and get on with riding some good heady arguments like we all want to see from you more often. Better...
