Peeter, Do you know the name of the ship he was on from Estonia to Germany?

No, I don't know the name of the ship. I will ask Kaspar's newphew who as a small child was on it. I remember that Mrs. Rebane told me many years ago that their ship left Tallinn at the same time as the Moero so it should be possible to narrow it down.

It's not important, I was just curious, because it sounds like the same one that my mother-in-law was on.
It's interesting how all the stories weave around and touch each other at different points. We're such a small community worldwide.

Why is it that some of the best reading in EE comes through in the Obituary section? We learn so much about people who have lived worthwhile lives, and the standard of the writing is truly impeccable! Some of the most sincere and respectable people in our Canadian Estonian Community circle its fringes, but they seem to know the most about its history. Thank you Peeter for a wonderful article.
