ZeroTurnaround OŰ Wins 2012 Estonian American Innovation Award; FitsMe Runner Up
08 Dec 2012 EWR Online
U.S. Embassy Tallinn Press Release
In a highly competitive contest of Estonian-American innovative partnerships, the Java solutions company ZeroTurnaround OÜ took home the winning trophy at the Estonian American Innovation Award ceremony December 5th, which featured Parliament Speaker Ene Ergma and U.S. Ambassador Jeffrey D. Levine.

FitsMe, known for its online Virtual Fitting Room, was declared the runner up and four other business/non-profit partnerships - Click&Grow, Cybernetica, Let’s Do It!, and Marinexplore Inc. – received special recognition as finalists.

Addressing an audience of Estonian and U.S. businesses, civil society representatives and students, Ambassador Levine said, “This award celebrates Estonia’s and the U.S.’ mutual innovative spirit and the partnerships that we are forging, be they government to government, business to business, or people to people. It’s clear that the best of both of our nations are finding each other and we can plainly see that the result is greater than the sum of the parts.”

The annual award is a cooperative project of the U.S. Embassy, the Baltic American Freedom Foundation (BAFF), and the American Chamber of Commerce in Estonia (AmCham). Initiated in 2011, it recognizes innovation by Estonians in partnership with Americans in a broad range of fields. As winner, ZeroTurnaround OÜ will receive 10,000 euros, and the runner up, FitsMe, will receive 5,000 euros.
