Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to you on behalf of the civic initiative Let's Do It! World Cleanup 2012. We would like to invite you to join us to gather 300 million people from at least 100 countries around the world to clean up the whole planet of illegally dumped garbage.
Our core team consist mainly of the same people that organized the event in Estonia in 2008:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v.... Since the interest from countries worldwide has been increasing ever since, we are now preparing for a worldwide event together for next year.
Our main communication tool is called the World Waste Map. It is an easy to use platform which looks somewhat like Google Maps and is integrated through smartphone applications to Twitter, Facebook and other social media.
In New York we are currently looking for local initiators. The New York City government is already on board supporting us, excited about the use of technology. They are currenty waiting for the team on a grassroot level to frm that they can start working with on campaining and waste handling.
