U.S. Embassy Tallinn August 6, 2012
For many who answer the call to serve their country, the struggle does not end on the battlefield.
Today, the U.S. Embassy, in partnership with Estonian Defence Forces, welcomes home seven Estonian veterans who participated in the Wounded Warriors 2012 Soldier Ride in Oberhambach, Germany. This event honors and empowers our wounded and ill soldiers by bringing together both U.S. Army Europe and allied partner veterans for a three day bike ride, with special, modified bicycles that make the ride possible for every participant.
The U.S. Embassy is hosting the Estonian riders at a special “Welcome Home” reception today in order both to recognize their service and to highlight the importance of events like this ride that promote holistic healing and strong support for our wounded veterans.
Welcome Home to Wounded Warriors 2012 Soldier Ride Cyclists!
