US Navy stunt team "Blue Angels" return to CNE Air Show
27 Aug 2009 Adu Raudkivi
The United States Navy Blue Angels return to the CNE to demonstrate their art after 23 years. So does the United States Air Force with their front line air superiority fighter, the F-22 Raptor after an absence of one year. While both do their stunts at high speed the Raptor does stunts not before seen done by another aircraft.

The Canadians are celebrating 100 years of flight by not only bringing out their standby "Snowbirds" and the CF-18 Hornet stunt team but also a repainted F-86 Sabre jet fighter in the colours of the Golden Hawks to be flown by retired astronaut Colonel Chris Hadfield.

Other aerial displays are from 3 P-51 Mustangs and a F-16 Viper from the US, as well as by a Spitfire MK IX from Niagara Falls.

The air show runs at the CNE waterfront on September 5, 6 and 7 starting at 12:30 pm.
