"Canada's strength is her people. As a Canadian we are proud of our citizenship and value our rights and freedom. We live harmoniously under one flag - the Canadian Flag. While we are different from one another, we are one - we are Canada," said Mr. Karygiannis.

Karygiannis has been a longtime ally of "our side". We first met him in the early eighties at a demonstration at Toronto City Hall for the Afghan Muhjadeen. Since then we would see him often.

At this meeting he got right to business. he will be travelling across Canada meeting members of the Multicultural community, stakeholder groups and the ethnic media and introducing them to the Liberal Caucus.

"As we move forward as a country, it is important that we create an environment where all communities live in harmony," said Mr. Karygiannis. "Many times, people feel left out, unable to voice their concerns and therefore they are not at the table and part of the decisions being made."

Mr. Karygiannis will be holding meetings before the National Liberal Caucus at the House of Commons on Sunday, August 27, 2011 from 10 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. . Meetings will be 20 minutes each on a first served basis to be scheduled by August 17 via email at or fax(613)992-4501. Overflow would be scheduled on Saturday, August 27, 2011.

Participants will be invited to an informal reception on Sunday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
