Tähtede Laul: International Children & Youth Song festival

The European Culture Capital Tallinn 2011 is inviting Children and Youth music collectives to participate in childrens' international pop-and ethnosinging Song Festival “Tähtede Laul “(Song of Stars), taking place on the 14-16th of April 2011 in Capital of Estonia Tallinn.

The Festival is included in the Culture Calendar of Tallinn The European Culture Capital 2011 and is open for children and youth from all European countries in order to introduce the young talents of their homeland and establish cultural contacts internationally.

The International Children and Youth Music Festival "Song of Stars 2011" will bring together the best singers of our country and from all over the world, entertaining both locals and visitors with good music in different public concert places and offering music workshops for children.

The date of the event: 14-16th of April 2011

The age of participants: 3-20 years

Countries, from where the participants will be invited:

Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Moldova, Bulgaria, Romania, Armenia, Kasakhstan, Great Britain, Germany, Italy, Ukraine, Byelorussia, Georgia, China, Israel, USA, Hungari etc.

For the participans, there are concerts and workshops at the following public places:
 Nokia Concert Hall at theSolaris Center, The Center of Estonian Children Literature, Open Air Museum Rocca al Mare, The Tallinn Teachers' House, The Center of Rotermann, Trade Center of Kristiine, Solaris and Rocca al Mare, at the Performing Arts School Meero Music .

Inside the framework of the Festival, there will be a competition for soloists and vocal groups in the genre of pop music, for the age of 17-20 where the three best groups/soloists will be awarded.
