A fundraiser for The Estonian Studies Centre, this evening of standup comedy (in English) promises to be a lot of fun, featuring both homegrown and imported talent.

Check out Liia Kajak's YouTube clip with her ukulele, and the clever ditty about TTC stations, live from her performance at a downtown comedy club. And did you know that chef Paul Lillakas studied comedy writing at Humber and has performed at several comedy clubs around town?

And then we offer up the headliner, Andy Valvur, who had the audience in raucous laughter when EstDocs screened the half-hour documentary about his trip to Estonia, back in 2011. His YouTube clip of Europe as a family will give you a taste of what's to come.

Organized by korp! Filiae Patriae together with VEMU, tickets for the evening are going fast. At only $25, they're a perfect Christmas gift for the person who loves to laugh - and perhaps for the person who could use a laugh. Available at the ESTore (with $3 surcharge), and via vemu.ca.
