The Riigikogu Committee on Social Affairs discussed the situation and developments on the labour market on Monday, reports the Riigikogu Press Office. The growth in the share of long-term unemployment and the high unemployment rate among young people were pointed out as particular problems in Estonia.

Chairman of the Parliamentary committee Urmas Reinsalu stated that the committee is planning to tackle these issues in near future together with representatives of different institutions. He added that the committee is also planning to meet with the minister of economic affairs and communications Juhan Parts, in order to discuss the trends on the labour market in connection with the developments in the business sector.
