An informal meeting of the prime ministers of the Baltic Council of Ministers will take place in Vihula from 10-11 February. Estonian Prime Minister Andrus Ansip, Latvian Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis, and Lithuanian Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius will participate in the meeting.

Topics to be discussed are energy policy, the sharing opportunities offered by research and development work infrastructure, and the creation of a digital internal market. The ministers will also speak about innovation, including improving the mobility of ideas and people across the Baltic nations.

The Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian prime ministers will also meet with European Commission Commissioner for Economic and Monetary Affairs Olli Rehn.

The prime ministers also plan to meet with Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications Einari Kisel, rector of the Estonian IT College Linnar Viik, and Tartu University professor Jaak Vilo. On the topic of innovation, manager of the company Fits.me Heikki Haldre will give a presentation on the achievements of his company to the Baltic prime ministers.
