NATO’s current strategic concept was approved in 1999, yet many pivotal events that have had a dramatic impact on NATO have taken place after 1999. Debates over the content of NATO’s new strategic concept have just started to gain momentum in the capitals of the member states of the Alliance. Maria Mälksoo, a researcher at ICDS, has completed an initial analysis of Estonia’s expectations and interests with respect to the new strategic concept.
