Please help me to trace relatives
04 Mar 2012 EWR Online
Dear All
Both of my parents were Estonian. I was born in Nottingham, England in 1953. My father and mother were not married. I have been told that my father left England for Canada. His name was Raime Ambleck, (I believe that this is the correct spelling but there could be other variations) sometimes called Raymond. He had a maternal uncle, Johannes Lass. Johannes owned a farm at Chesterton, near Peterborough, England in the late 1970's to 1990's when he sold up and returned to Estonia. Johannes attended my wedding in October 1979 when he told me that Raime had died, (possibly of a heart attack) earlier that year (possibly July). I believe that Raime married someone in Canada and that he had four more daughters. I would like to contact my half sisters so that I can pass their details onto my daughter.

This is all the information I have to go on.

I would be most grateful if any of you could help me trace these relatives, even if it is to give me an email address or website to contact that may give me more information.

As the family I grew up with believed that Estonia would always be oppressed, I was not taught to read or write Estonian, so I can only communicate in English.

Many thanks for taking the time to read this.
