Russia generally reluctant to buy weaponry from abroad
The Finnish defence equipment manufacturer Patria has made progress in discussions on the sale of armoured modular vehicles (AMVs) to Russia.
"We have continued correspondence with the Russians on the subject", says Patria marketing director Jukka Holkeri.
According to Holkeri, Patria also plans to take part in a bidding competition organised by Denmark, which wants to buy 200 to 400 vehicles.
