NewsRoom Finland The current economic downturn has not taken a toll on cruises, indicate figures released by ferry companies on Monday. Especially the route between Finland and Estonia has been busy, although currently operated by two companies less than one year ago.
The July passenger traffic between Helsinki and Tallinn of Estonia's Tallink Grupp and Finland's Viking Line were up by 25 per cent and 10 per cent year-on-year, respectively.
Finnish Eckerö Line has also experienced an increase of around twenty per cent year-on-year in its Estonian traffic throughout the May-July period.
