Constant Brand, European Voice The European Parliament's civil liberties committee has approved a five-year EU-US agreement giving US authorities access to international bank transfer data from Europe.
The committee today (6 July) voted by 41 votes for, nine against and one abstention to recommend that the entire Parliament give its consent to the accord. The Parliament is to vote on Thursday.
