Let’s maintain our Estonian House Estonian Life
12 Sep 2015 EL (Estonian Life)
If over the past year you have noticed individuals doing various chores around the Estonian House, then you have seen the “ talgulised.” They are a group of dedicated volunteers who faithfully help to maintain various aspects of our Estonian House. So far, they have cleaned 2 kitchens, organized kitchen cupboards, removed an old refrigerator from the downstairs kitchen, cleaned lamps and changed light bulbs in all 3 banquet halls, washed windows, walls and tables, organized the cloakroom, polished handrails and fixtures, repaired washrooms, removed wax from 300 candle holders, cleared the driveway and entrance from ice, trimmed branches and removed debris from the parking lot etc.

They are positive minded and hardworking members of our community, committing time and personal funds to the upkeep of the Estonian House. Thank you to everyone who has come out to help or who has given of their time to our community. Thank you also to a member of the Estonian House Board of Directors for the generous donation of their entire own Estonian House Council Honorarium to support this cause.

The next “Talgud” will be on Sat. Sept. 19th at 10am. Everyone is welcome and refreshments will be provided. If you are unable to attend and wish to make a donation the account no. at the Estonian Credit Union is 134210.
