Kenyan Security foil a bombing attempt on Air France
Kenyan bomb experts discover a bomb inside Air France at Moi International Airport, Mombasa. The explosive was carried away to a safe place outside the airport.
The Air France flight No. 463 was from Port Louis, Mauritius headed to Paris France.
The Boeing 777 plane with 473 passengers on board was diverted to Mombasa where it was immediately cleared by Kenyan airport authorities to land on emergency at 003 hours.
Bomb experts from the Kenya Navy took the bomb away to safety.
All the 473 passengers have been screened at the airport lounge and taken to safety in hotels where they are also receiving care and counseling.
The Kenyan security is zeroing in on two passengers who appear suspicious.
The Mombasa Security team and Airport security in Mombasa have also secured the Airport and all critical facilities around.
The bomb has been taken to safe destination for detonation in the morning.
