Loss of feeder traffic could cost Finnair millions Helsingin Sanomat The Finnish domestic carrier Finncomm Airlines has confirmed that it will cancel services to the provincial airports of Jyväskylä, Pori, and Seinäjoki. The company announced on Monday that it would not resume services to Pori and Seinäjoki when the summer break concludes next week.
The airline will continue flights to Jyväskylä until the 16th of August.
The move means that there will be no commercial air services from Helsinki to Pori or Seinäjoki.
Finncom says that discussions with the national carrier Finnair on terms for feeder traffic did not lead to the desired result, and consequently, it is ending the unprofitable service on these routes. Finncomm plans to concentrate on more profitable routes.
