Following the very productive NATO summit in Chicago, the Estonian Chief of Defense Brigadier-General Riho Terras, is visiting the U.S. Central Command headquarters in Tampa, Florida. He and U.S. military leaders will discuss a range of issues, including operations in Afghanistan and future defense coordination.
Since Estonia joined NATO in 2004, U.S. and Estonian defense forces have made strides towards bringing our militaries closer together and improving interoperability. These efforts will continue even as operations in Afghanistan scale down in the coming years.
