In January Estonian Air carried 42 657 passengers, which is 14.7% more than year ago. The punctuality of Estonian Air flights in January was 85.85%, giving Estonian Air the position among the most punctual airlines in the world.

In January Estonian Air carried altogether 42 657 passengers, 42 519 of these on regular flights. The total number of passengers increased by 14.66% y-o-y, and on regular flights by 17.73%.

Estonian Air has increased frequencies on a number of year-round routes to European most important cities, like Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Brussels etc. as well as added new destinations on its flight schedule. “We hope that increased frequencies and opening new destinations will improve the connectivity from and via Tallinn. Thus we can offer better product to both business and leisure travellers, which is basis for our further growth” said Rauno Parras, the Commercial Manager of Estonian Air.

Estonian Air operated 968 flights in January, which is 26.9 % more flights y-o-y. The total capacity in the market is less than last year do the right sizing the aircraft. The load factor is record high in January at 58%, which is 9.7 percentage points higher than last year.

The punctuality of Estonian Air flights in January was 85.9% and regularity 99.4%.

In 2011 the 15-minute punctuality of Estonian Air flights was 90.8%, which is 4.1 percentage points higher than last year. According to this Estonian Air is among the most punctual airlines in the world.

AS Estonian Air, Estonia’s national carrier, is the biggest operator at Tallinn Airport. Estonian Air focuses on improving the connection between Estonia and the rest of the world with the aim of increasing competitiveness as a network carrier hub.

Estonian Air flies to 25 destinations in CIS, Scandinavia and Europe. The airline has recently announced new destinations for next summer, such as Helsinki, Riga, Jyvaskyla, Hannover, Vienna, Venice, Kokkola/Pietarsaari, Joensuu, Kajaani and Tbilisi.

Estonian national carrier Estonian Air has been among the best in Europe for several years when it comes to punctuality and regularity. Estonian Air was recognized as the most punctual airline on the ceremony of Aviation Awards 2010, hosted by Brussels Airport. In 2009 Estonian Air was nominated as the most punctual airline in Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, which is serving more than 100 airlines from all over the world.
