MSN News Estonia and Latvia on Tuesday urged Russia to shed light on claims that six men from the two nations were among the eight arrested for the mysterious hijacking of the ship Arctic Sea.
Estonian Foreign Minister Urmas Paet said he was surprised to have learned from the media that four Estonians had been detained at sea, along with two Latvians and two Russians, after the Russian navy took control of the ship at an undisclosed location believed to be off the west coast of Africa.
"We contacted the Russian foreign ministry in Moscow, the Russian embassy in Tallinn, the Russian border guard, the FSB, the Interpol mission in Russia, and so on," Paet told reporters.
