This year’s annual Esto Ski Day at Georgian Peaks is scheduled for Friday, February 17, 2012. Events will include a day of skiing for family and friends, a fun race and an evening get-together at MOLLY BLOOM's IRISH PUB. There are also cross country skiing and snowshoeing trails. Georgian Trail runs in front of the club and for the panoramic view (see attached pictures) the Bruce Trail runs along the top of the escarpment at the club. For the hardier you can hike/snow shoe up beside the Champlain run and then download for $5, or for the same $5 take the lift up and down if you have cross country skis. (tickets at the Main Lodge).
The lifts open at 9 a.m. The lift tickets are discounted for adults and children. All participants pay for their lift tickets individually. Please purchase tickets from the main lodge, registering under “Esto Ski Day”.
Part of the WEST LODGE has been reserved for our use for the day. There is a bar and cafeteria style restaurant.
Downhill equipment and snowshoe rentals are available at Slalom Gate, Georgian Peaks. You can reserve ahead of time by telephone (519) 599-3244, or email: .
The fun race is for all ages at a basic gate level. Please register for the race at the front desk on the day of the event, providing the participant’s name, age and specify skier/snowboarder. The awards ceremony for the fun race will take place at the WEST LODGE in our designated area at the end of the ski day.
MOLLY BLOOM'S IRISH PUB is located at 27 Simcoe Street, 1 block east of Hurontario Street in downtown Collingwood. Come and join us for dinner at 7:00 PM and/or just for drinks. People will be ordering their dinners individually this year. A rock/blues band is typically featured at Molly Bloom's, beginning at 9pm on Friday nights.
