Our society has emphasized physical fitness over emotional fitness, and we’re paying a rather dear price for that. Karin Vagiste’s unique approach involves addressing three level of a person’s stress triggers. Other stress management programs make use of meditation, deep breathing, visualization, and yoga; these activities will lower stress DURING the activity, but after the activity is over, your stressful issues will return, so more needs to happen to lower stress for the long term.
A huge chunk of emotional stress is caused by interpersonal misunderstanding, which all too easily spirals into conflict, so mediative principles cultivate the positive chemistry of conflict; this prevents the release of those nasty stress hormones. Karin Vagiste traveled to three different countries in order to further her studies in mediative strategies, which are anchored in mediation. She had the distinguished honour of being granted the International Award of Excellence for her Peace-Building Strategies from New York City’s Human Resources Office. The greater your peace of mind, the less stress you will have.

Her presentation on Wednesday, November the 2nd at 7:30 pm, will include colourful, cartoons from her book, “SETTLE IT!’ which is available in a number of different languages. There will be a book signing after her talk. (Cash sales only) For more information about this topic please turn to www.emotionalfitness.info.
