ANNUAL DINNER-DANCE/FUNDRAISER 2007 We are pleased to inform you that the Annual Dinner-Dance of the New York Estonian Educational Society, our main fundraising event, will take place on Saturday May 19, 2007 starting at 6 PM, at the Estonian House.
The event will celebrate our organization’s history and the commitment of the New York Estonian community to the city we call home.
We will honor two exceptional Estonian-Americans for their many contributions to our community: Virve Vaher and Juta Kurman, who have both excelled in their chosen fields of work, and at the same time have made immeasurable contributions to the New York Estonian community.
Our Dinner-Dance will feature entertainment by Peeter Kopvillem, a well-known Estonian singer from Toronto, Canada, as well as The Mike Barry Band for dancing.
We will also feature an Art Auction, primarily featuring the art of Ilse Leetaru as well as Mark Kostabi.
We therefore ask you to participate in our celebration by joining us on May 19, 2007 at the Estonian House. If you are unable to attend, your support with an ad in our Journal would be most welcome. The proceeds from the event will provide a jump-start for the projected $200,000.- renovation project of our ground floor.
